Being a Photographer in Tulum

This past July I went to Tulum, Mexico for a styled shoot retreat! I LOVED being a photographer in Tulum, even if it was just for a week. The entire trip was an absolute blast and I got to spend so much time behind the camera capturing different couples. This particular shoot, however, was an impromptu shoot that a few other photographers and I decided to do. Marissa and Janiel were so kind and offered to model for us! We ended up taking some photos while they were dressed up as well as a few in their bathing suits as well.

The Session

For the first part of the session, Marissa was dressed in a beautiful colorful outfit. She wore a red dress with a stunning pattern on it, while he dressed in a more simple beige outfit that complimented her’s. We really got to explore the house while we looked for places to take Marissa and Janiel’s photos. We stumbled across this beautiful patio area where we got some of my favorite photos!

Moving onto the second part of the session, the two changed into their bathing suits and we took some photos in the bathroom with the most beautiful shower I’ve ever seen. These photos are absolutely insane! The steam coming out of the shower made the photos all the more perfect. I loved everything about both of these shoots!

I am so glad I had the chance to be a photographer in Tulum, and that I got to attend this retreat. It was an amazing time, I loved getting to meet Marissa and Janiel, and all the other people who participated in the retreat. I can’t wait for the next one!
