The Saldivar Family’s Photos: Minot, North Dakota

Last week I have the pleasure of photographing the Saldivar family!! This adorable family was part of my Spring Mini Marathon, so we had 15 minutes to capture all these precious moments. They were so fun to work with and clearly adorable—I could have photographed them for HOURS.

One of my favorite moments from their sessions was seeing how patient and caring Destiny and Devyn are as parents. At first, their daughter was really shy—I tried to say hello but she hid behind her parents. Destiny told her daughter how important family photos are and (after a few bribes) she was talking to me!! I asked her her favorite color, which is blue like the sky, and I asked about her favorite animal. Because her parents reacted with love and kindness—she opened up and felt comfortable to take photos with me! I asked her dad to spin her around really fast and toss her in the air like an airplane—pretty soon she forgot it was cold outside and actually enjoyed the photo session!!
