Sunrise Photos in New Town, North Dakota

As we drove into town for a sunrise photo session, it was still dark outside. We turned the corner and at the top of the tallest hill, there was a 40-foot glowing cross. It was a magical sight. I turned to Ian and jokingly said that we should go on that hill for their photos. The GPS, which was directing us to Madison’s grandmother’s property, slowly brought us closer and closer to the glowing cross.

When Madison pointed at her grandma’s property, I let out a squeal because she pointed up at the cross!! Our car barely made it up the steep hill, and once we got up there I was amazed. On one side of the cliff we were overlooking the city lights and on the other side was the most beautiful valley!! This location was breathtaking—it was such a wonderful experience traveling up there! But what was even more inspiring was their relationship. They were both so kind & adventurous and their love was true and real.
