Living it Up in San Diego, CA

I had an AMAZING time in being a photographer in San Diego for a week! It was so cool to see how different it is to shoot out in California than it is to shoot at home in Minnesota. This retreat taught me so much about photography and it was amazing to see how other photographers shoot and compose their photos. We spent a week out in San Diego photographing different couples and living it up in the California sun! I absolutely loved the experience and can’t wait to use what I learned this year!

The Bridal Session with Britt & Jeff

For this session we got to shoot at Monserate Winery Weddings in San Diego, CA. Britt and Jeff were complete naturals and so relaxed in front of so many cameras. I know as a photographer, being the one in front of the camera, it can be hard to fully relax and let your body move naturally. These two were great at it! We all got to take turns posing the couple and it was interesting to see what kind of poses everyone likes to use or what they came up with on the spot!! I absolutely love trying out new poses – it’s always fun to be creative at a session!

We got to photograph the couple in lots of beautiful spots around the winery, it was absolutely insane! The photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. My favorite spot was the staircase. The framing with the trees, the shadows, the light, it all came together so well for those shots. I am still swooning over them months later!

We also got to photograph a tablescape with stunning white flowers showering the table, plates and menus, and other beautiful details. It was set up in the main part of the winery so we got the building in the background with the twinkle lights which added so much to every shot.

Overall, this session was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better set up at this retreat. I had a great time and I love the photos so much!

A Huge Thank You

I wanted to give a huge shoutout to all the vendors that helped put this session together. Everyone did such an amazing job and the entire shoot was a dream! I also wanted to give a big thank you to Lahzeh Photography Retreat for putting together a wonderful experience for me and all the other photographers that participated. I had such a fun time being a photographer in San Diego and I can’t wait to see what you come up with in the future!
