Romantic Utah Elopement Styled Shoot

What I think of Utah…

Berklee and Sinjun modeled for a beautiful elopement styled shoot in Utah last October. The session took place at the Bonneville Salt Flats which is right by Salt Lake City. I am SO grateful I had the opportunity to capture some of Utah’s beautiful landscapes and be a wedding photographer in Salt Lake City for a weekend! Because I was there capturing a wedding in the Utah mountains, I decided it would be an AMAZING opportunity to visit the Salt Flats. It was a great spot to take some stunning pictures for sure! Utah Photographers truly have some of the most beautiful backdrops for photos and I would absolutely love to go back. 

The Session

At the session, Berklee and Sinjin warned us how fast the sunset can change and wow were they right!! We got 3 different sunsets in the span of 20 minutes. First we got a bright, yellow sunset which was followed by the most GORGEOUS honey golden hour. Finally, we got a cotton candy pink and blue sunset. I also got to shoot some flash photos during blue hour. Blue hour is the last few minutes before the sun is finally past the horizon and it becomes dark outside. 

Altogether, one of my favorite parts of the day was Berklee and Sinjun’s vibe. These two were SO good behind the camera and brought amazing energy to the shoot! They were ready and willing to try out any pose we threw their way and kept the energy up throughout the entire session. I can’t say enough about these two and am thankful that they modeled for my styled shoot, and helped me bring the vision I had to life. 

Experiencing Utah’s amazing backdrops and what it’s like to be a wedding photographer in Salt Lake City was truly a life changing experience and I can’t wait to go back!
