Minot, North Dakota Engagement Photos: Rhianna & Sam

When couples inquire about my wedding photography services, I always chat with them over zoom to get to know each other a bit more and to see if we’d be a good fit! Well, Rhianna said she just moved to Minot, North Dakota from Lakeville, MN. Before I moved to North Dakota, I lived in Lakeville for a few years!! We were immediately shocked by the crazy coincidence. But then as we talked more, we realized we had SO MUCH in common!!! We are both huge Harry Potter fans (and Huffelpuffs), love cats, but their wedding venue is also the SAME venue I had for my wedding 2 years ago!!! How crazy is that??

I was so excited to meet Rhianna & Sam, but also their cat Rusty!! We took Rusty out of his cat carrier and he took off!! My heart dropped, but Rhianna and Sam jumped into action. They chased him around (and wow, Rusty is one of the fastest cats I’ve ever seen) for what seemed like 10 minutes!! We finally got him back in his cage. Throughout this whole fiasco, Sam & Rhianna stayed calm, worked together, and didn’t give up. If they can be that amazing in a terrifying circumstance (there was a railroad close to our location) I KNOW that they can handle everything that comes their way in the future!!
