Mandan Family Photography: The Aune Family at Sunset Park

On Sunday, I had my first family photography session of the year in Mandan, North Dakota!! I was so excited when Keary reached out to me last week for family photos because her little family is adorable!!

Photographing a family with a small child can sometimes get challenging—but that was not the case with the Aune Family!! Not only was this family sweet as can be, but they were also NATURALS in front of the camera—including baby Phillip!! Hearing the *click click* of the camera sparked his interest and his eyes followed the camera wherever I went.

Something that stood out to me while working with Keary + Spencer was how much JOY they had!! For most people, having a baby throw up right before you’re about to leave the house would put them in a crabby mood for the rest of the day, but that was NOT the case for the Aunes!! Even after this happened to the Aune Family, everyone showed up in smiles, high spirits, and joyful energy!!

Keary + Spencer, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this moment for your beautiful family!!! You guys are rock-star parents!! Even though the challenging parts of parenthood you guys are setting a wonderful example for others. I can’t wait to watch Phillip take his first independent steps and watch him grow up!! Keary, it was great reconnecting with you and meeting your adorable little fam!!! Thank you so much guys!!
