Family Photos on Lake Sakakawea, North Dakota

When I think of North Dakota, I think of flat farmlands, so when the Klingman Family sent me a photo of a beach with sandstone pillars in the water I determined to find it for their family photo session!! I did some research and with the help of a few awesome people (Thanks, Zoe!!) I found the exact spot they wanted!! Not only that, but it was less than 2 hours away. This reason number 528281 why I love being a photographer in North Dakota—I get to explore epic scenery!!

Kingman Family, thank you so much for having me capture this important stage for your family!! Thanks for putting up with cold weather, climbing down a cliff (IN A DRESS!!), and embracing the crazy wind!! You guys absolutely crushed this session. When you see these photos, I hope you’re reminding of how beautiful your family is (inside & out) & how much love you all have for each other!!
