Zach + Makayla: Engagement Photos

For Zach + Makayla’s engagement session, I wanted to try out a new location I’ve been DREAMING of, Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge which is north of Minot, North Dakota. It was BEAUTIFUL!!

We started their engagement photos behind pine trees and the sun poked through, which created warmth and beautiful light! Right next to the pine trees was this open field with the most beautiful tall grass. Zach + Makayla didn’t hesitate when I asked them to run through the field!! We ended our session in front of the lake—the reflection from the sun made the scene even more beautiful! The weather was perfect—no bugs, no heat, a beautiful sunset—but nothing beats the love that these two wonderful humans share!!

Zach + Makayla, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your love!! You guys were SO FUN to work with—thanks for laughing at my silly prompts & exploring a new place with me!
