Visiting Salt Lake
Last fall, I had the honor of traveling out to Utah to capture Kate & Brad’s backyard wedding in the mountains. When they asked me if I could head west and help tell their story, it was an immediate yes! How could I say no to such a beautiful couple and their wedding?? When we landed in Salt Lake City, I fell in love with the city so fast. Every place we visited had so many cool details and thought put into the architecture. I also had the opportunity to visit the Salt Flats and take some incredible photos there as well! You can read about the Salt Flats session here: Romantic Utah Elopement Styled Shoot
The Wedding!
Then came the wedding day. I started off the morning with a jaw dropping car ride to the venue, which was a huge VRBO by the mountains. When I arrived, Kate and Brad were so kind and welcoming, as were the rest of their friends and family that were there helping them get ready. Every part of the day was intimate, welcoming, and cozy. Kate and Brad announced their vows while the crowd shed happy tears and shared some laughs. They had a SUPER unique unity ceremony which consisted of building a little wooden bike followed by the officiant singing a song where everyone in the crowd joined in. It was truly such a heart felt and warm ceremony. The reception was just as fun with a taco and donut bar, two deeply written speeches from the maid of honor and best man, and two-step first dances.
