An Introduction to the Couple
Hannah and Michael had an absolutely epic Wisconsin wedding this May in Solon Springs. There are so many things to say about this day I don’t even know where to start!! To begin, these two were amazing! They both had such good energy and were so relaxed about everything. They really just wanted to go with the flow and enjoy their day. Their entire wedding party was also super energetic and helpful the entire day.
Where to start…
Getting ready may have been one of my favorite parts of the day. The morning was filled with dance parties, champagne, lots of hugs, and everyone helping one another with their hair and makeup. We started by photographing all their details which were SO sentimental and cute. Hannah’s baby blanket was even incorporated into the background of the images! And the florals she picked were STUNNING. They were these super colorful wildflowers tied together with a plaid yellow ribbon. They also had a beautiful typewriter for the reception for all the guests to type them a note.
The Wedding Day
As the morning unfolded, and everyone was waiting to get dressed, some members of the wedding party went to play frisbee outside. They all had met through the ultimate frisbee team when they were in college (isn’t that so cool??!). Oh and the cake?? Hannah MADE IT. She made her own wedding cake (so of course we had to take some pictures)!! Finally, it was time to get dressed and take some bride and groom portraits. We ran around the entire venue, which took place at the Atrium. We were able to get all kinds of backdrops for their photos including the woods, the gardens right outside the reception space, and inside the Atrium’s greenhouse area.
The ceremony took place in the middle of the woods – it truly felt like something right out of a movie! They exchanged their vows and rings, lots of laughs were shared, and finally they had the best first kiss. Everyone cheered SO loud! Their friends even surprised them with bagpipes which followed them out of the ceremony space and to their reception space.
Finally – the reception. This was an absolute blast! They had a great grand entrance and ended it with a big champagne pop. Dinner was served soon after which consisted of four different kinds of pizza and it tasted AMAZING. Later in the evening, everyone got out on the dance floor after the cutest family dance! Overall, Hannah and Michael’s Wisconsin wedding was a really fun time and they shared so many hugs, laughs, and happy tears with all their closest friends and family.
