On Saturday, June 12th, Paige and Derik tied the knot overlooking the badlands in Medora surrounded by their friends and family. Between emotional first looks with parents and bridesmaids, the largest wedding party I’ve photographed to date with 25 people, and stunning views of the badlands—this was a wedding for the books!!
We started the morning off capturing detail shots, making tiktoks, and taking pictures—of course. Then Pagie’s mothers helped her in her dress while her bridesmaids waited patiently outside—that was the first time I teared up. The second time I teared up was only a few minutes later…when the bridesmaids saw Paige for the first time in her gown. Paige instructed us we couldn’t cry because it would make her cry, which would ruin her makeup, but I couldn’t help it! There were countless other times I teared up that day—during the first look with her dads, when Paige and Derik said their vows, and during the first dances.
The last time I teared up was my favorite moment of their wedding day… which requires some backstory. During my break and dinner I pulled my laptop out of my bag to edit a few photos from that day (Don’t worry—not a moment was missed—whenever I was working, my amazing second photographer was taking photos!!) Once I was done I told Mr & Mrs Siverton that I had a surprise for them and I led them to my laptop to show them a little sneak-peek. Their reactions, kind words, and love was EVERYTHING.
Paige & Derik—thank you so much for wanting me to capture your special day! You two are so clearly in-love, it was a honor to capture a little bit of your never-ending love-story.
A big thanks to the following vendors who helped make this day so special!
